- Lead and guide team to provide high quality pre-press operations that meet or exceed specifications.
- Execution of color management for printing and proofing systems.
- Identify and lead the development and implementation of Pre-press workflow process improvements and automation.
- Review electronic files received, impose as needed, plate to output device. Review files before plating. Or aids team in processing as needed.
- Ensure Pre-flight PDF files according to standards to prepare for print and digital reproduction.
- Collaborate with and build effective relationships with quality, product development, customer service, external customers/vendors and other business leaders regarding the status of jobs and problem-solving scenarios.
- Responsible for performance, goal setting and personnel decisions of the team
- Communicates and trains on standards and processes
- Track, measure and communicate quality, productivity, maintenance, expense to budget, and other reporting as needed
- Review and recommend new methods/equipment, cost reductions, quality improvements
- All other duties assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in printing and or graphics preferred
- 5 years of prepress management experience
- Preferred knowledge of prepress software and systems
- Solid working knowledge of printing processes and related manufacturing, off-set and flexo printing preferred
- Ability to understand budgeting and manufacturing reporting
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite
