What You Will Do:
- Supports all activities in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality and food safety management system
- Report any quality and/or food safety problems to personnel of authority to initiate action.
- Oversee, direct, and coordinate Spartanburg plate hub activity
- Direct plate hub associates day-to-day activity
- Responsible for customer service and order intake for sister plants
- Responsible for hub production schedule and setting job priority
- Responsible for ensuring optimal plate layout utilization
- Responsible for the accuracy of job billing and plate invoices
- Responsible for material inventory control
- Receives and processes all orders from plants within plate hub.
- Interacts/communicates effectively with plant contacts, plate operators, and plate QA/shipping. Must have excellent communication skills and pay special attention to detail.
- Interact with other plate hubs and coordinate activities as backup supplier when required
- Works with individual plants to ensure plate technical specifications are met. Must understand plate specifications/tolerances and equipment capabilities.
- Determines hub production schedule and daily priorities based on date order received and demand
- Prioritizes to achieve on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction. Must be able to work on several different projects at the same time.
- Prepares files for operator by determining optimal plate file layout.
- Ability to QC check digital files using Adobe Acrobat and Esko Automation Engine Viewer.
- Tracks plate costs and bills directly to sister plants.
- Orders raw material from plate manufacturer to ensure plates are available for manufacturing process at all times.
- Direct day-to-day tasks of plate hub hourly associates
- Work directly with Spartanburg plant on optimization of plate inventory and streamlining processes from order entry to plate production
- Additional Duties as Assigned by Supervisor
- Relevant experience in the field preferred
- Understanding of Flexo platemaking processes, layouts, and computer to plate workflow
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills along with a high level of professionalism
- Above average troubleshooting skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and the ability to learn new programs quickly
- Experience with Esko Automation Engine Viewer and Adobe Acrobat
- Understanding of Printing Process and Terminology
- Ability to professionally communicate with fellow employees
- Ability to work in a fast paced, self-directed environment
