Licensed Insurance Advisor

The GEICO Local Office in North Port is looking for energetic and competitive insurance agents who will prepare personalized insurance quotes, work our exclusive leads, cross-sell appropriate products, and close sales. Agents will receive consistent one-on-one training, coaching, and mentoring to help you meet sales goals and maximize your performance-based pay. This position does not have a maximum top end, the more you sell the more you make! As a GEICO Insurance Advisor, we will teach you how to listen to our customers, identify their needs, answer all of their questions, and overcome objections. Insurance sales experience is preferred but not required to apply.

This position is with the North Port, Florida GEICO Local Office located in Sarasota County.

Salary Range: $45000.00 - $75000.00 per year

Insurance Advisors will start with a competitive base pay and ability to make additional bonuses by meeting sales metrics.

Responsibilities

What you would do in this role:

• This role is for goal-minded people with the drive to be their best. We invest in our people, and were ready to invest in you.
• You don’t have to have the know-how of all things insurance, but the know-how-to-get-the-answers.
• You’ll show our customers the value that comes with being a GEICO policyholder: preparing insurance quotes, advising customers on coverage, and converting quotes into new policies all without making a single cold call. And all while growing your career. Because when you grow, we grow. Simple as that.
• You will be interacting with a large volume of clients in-person, but primarily on the phone.

Requirements

A successful candidate brings:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Florida 2-20, 20-44 or 4-40 Insurance License (have, or obtain within 14 days of job offer)
• Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently
• Excellent grammar, computer, and typing skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high customer volume environment
• Sales experience or desire to work in a competitive sales environment
• Highly motivated and self-driven, strong persuasion skills, excellent dependability
• Coachable, willing to learn a high volume of information, and willing to accept & learn from provided feedback
• Ability to consistently make 150 outbound calls per day.

Preferred Skills

• Prior sales experience (phone sales a plus)
• Prior customer service experience
