The Associate Attorney will collaborate with clients and colleagues on complex immigration cases and ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Case Management: Manage a diverse caseload of immigration matters, including family-based petitions, employment visas, asylum applications, and removal defense.
- Client Advocacy: Represent clients in proceedings before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) and United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
- Legal Research & Writing: Conduct thorough legal research and draft motions, briefs, and applications for various immigration benefits.
- Client Consultation: Conduct initial consultations to evaluate potential cases and provide clear, empathetic legal guidance to individuals and families.
- Onsite Collaboration: Work closely with senior counsel and paralegals in a collaborative, onsite office environment to ensure all filing deadlines and compliance standards are met.
- Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Bar Admission: Active license to practice law in any U.S. state. New York State Bar admission is strongly preferred.
- Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency (English and [Insert Second Language, e.g., Spanish]) is highly preferred to effectively communicate with our diverse client base.
