**Position Overview:**
The Front Receptionist and Optical Technician roles are crucial in ensuring our clinic operates smoothly and efficiently while providing excellent service to our patients.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Booking Appointments:** Schedule patient appointments accurately using our system.
- **Patient Check-in and Check-out:** Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in/out process.
- **Insurance Verification:** Confirm and check patients’ insurance details prior to appointments.
- **Updating Patient Files:** Ensure all patient information is current and accurately recorded in our database.
- **Payment Processing:** Collect co-payments and manage payments from patients without insurance.
- **Exam Room Management:** Keep exam rooms stocked with necessary supplies and equipment, ensuring they are ready for use.
- **Contact Lens Trials:** Manage and stock contact lens trials as required.
- **Equipment Management:** Turn on/off equipment at the beginning and end of each shift.
- **Assistance:** Support technicians and doctors as needed to help keep appointments on track and provide exceptional patient care.
**Schedule:**
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating Sundays
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in a medical or optical setting preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and scheduling software.

Technician Duties :
As an Optometrist Technician, you will work closely with optometrists to provide high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include assisting with basic eye examinations, testing patient vision, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our services.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct preliminary eye exams and vision tests, including visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception.
- Assist optometrists with eye measurements and vision correction tests.
- Administer eye drops, medications, and treatments as directed by optometrists.
- Prepare patients for eye exams and effectively communicate instructions for contact lens or glasses fittings.
- Maintain and organize patient records; update electronic health records as necessary.
- Perform diagnostic tests and imaging procedures such as retinal imaging and visual field testing.
- Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and processing insurance claims.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned, including cleaning and organizing optical equipment.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in an optometric setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems.
