Position Summary
The Process Analyst/Data Coordinator will organize, analyze, and present current and historical academic, behavioral, attendance, and social-emotional data for Turtle Mountain Middle School. The role will help educators, administrators, support staff, and other stakeholders use reliable data to guide instruction, strengthen the multi-tiered system of supports, and improve student outcomes. The Process Analyst/Data Coordinator must be able to perform the work independently while building productive relationships with school personnel.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain data structures that track academic performance, behavior incidents, attendance, and social-emotional indicators.
- Establish clear protocols for data collection, entry, validation, maintenance, archiving, and disposal.
- Integrate current and historical data from sources such as FastBridge and NDA to provide a complete view of student performance.
- Analyze academic and behavioral data to identify trends, students who may need support, and opportunities to adjust Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions.
- Prepare customized reports, visual presentations, and monthly analyses with practical recommendations for school stakeholders.
- Compile data for school board reporting, Cognia, Plan for Learning, and applicable state and federal reporting requirements.
- Facilitate scheduled data meetings, including 36 onsite visits and 36 virtual sessions, and teach administrators how to prepare and lead effective data meetings.
- Plan and deliver three all-staff training sessions at the beginning, middle, and end of the school year.
- Train and coach staff on data literacy, data collection, analysis, instructional planning, and data-informed interventions within the MTSS framework.
- Create an Academic Guide, Behavior Guide, training materials, session outlines, user guides, videos, research summaries, and weekly online follow-up resources.
- Collaborate with content teachers, grade-level teams, special education teams, and external partners to align MTSS data with individualized education programs and Section 504 plans.
- Monitor project effectiveness through surveys, classroom observations, and student data, and report overall project and student-achievement results to school administration each quarter.
- Protect personally identifiable information and student records and ensure that all data practices comply with FERPA and other applicable federal requirements.

- Must be a United States citizen and legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must possess a valid state-issued photo Real ID.
- Must be able to complete and receive a favorable federal background screening and suitability determination, including fingerprinting, before beginning onsite work.
- Must be available to provide onsite service at Turtle Mountain Middle School in Belcourt, North Dakota, on an on-demand schedule established by the school.
- Must be able to satisfy school-site safety and health requirements, including providing required immunization records and annual negative tuberculosis test documentation.
- Demonstrated experience organizing, analyzing, and explaining academic, behavioral, attendance, or comparable performance data.
- Working knowledge of MTSS practices and the use of data to support instructional decisions and student interventions.
- Ability to develop accurate reports, graphs, presentations, protocols, guides, and training resources for audiences with different levels of data literacy.
- Experience facilitating meetings, delivering professional development, and coaching staff in both onsite and virtual settings.
- Knowledge of FERPA, data privacy, and secure handling of personally identifiable information.
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage recurring deliverables, respond to changing school needs, and meet established deadlines.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience supporting K-12 educators, administrators, or school improvement teams.
- Experience using FastBridge, NDA , or similar academic and behavioral data systems.
- Experience preparing data for Cognia, Plan for Learning, school boards, or state and federal education reporting.
- Experience evaluating Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions and working with social-emotional learning data.
- Familiarity with individualized education programs, Section 504 plans, special education data, and cross-functional student-support teams.
- Skill with data visualization, dashboards, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation tools.
- Bachelor's degree in education, data analytics, educational leadership, psychology, social science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
