Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods and packages to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on route driving, load & unload procedures, and adhering to safety standards. Experience with commercial driving, warehouse operations, and heavy lifting is preferred to ensure efficient and secure deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver packages across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques
- Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely and professional interactions with clients
- Assist in the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with route driving experience preferred
- Valid
driver’s license with a clean driving record - Experience operating box trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely and efficiently
- Warehouse experience is advantageous but not required
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to load & unload operations and vehicle maintenance
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively
