Quality Engineer
GEE Group is in need of a detail-oriented Quality Control Engineer to monitor our production processes and make sure our final goods meet high standards. You will test raw materials, set inspection rules, and work with production teams to fix defects. This is a hands-on position conducting quality control on the production floor.
Responsibilities
- Investigate internal quality issues using statistical methods and basic data gathering techniques.
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and external customers to maintain strict quality standards.
- Establish and track quality benchmarks to ensure product consistency and manufacturing efficiency.
- Develop Process Quality Control Tables (PQCTs) utilizing FMEA and GPAC-V to mitigate failure risks.
- Lead and participate in process audits covering mold modifications, deviations, and system compliance.
- Resolve customer and internal quality concerns, documenting tracking activities and monthly performance.
- Analyze monthly reports and manufacturing data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate packaging trials against quality specifications.
- Train and mentor junior engineers through hands-on technical guidance.
- Execute ad-hoc projects and assume additional responsibilities to support business needs.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Experience: 3–7 years in manufacturing (Engineer III level).
- Industry Background: Automotive supplier experience preferred, especially with Japanese OEMs and Just-In-Time (JIT) delivery.
- Core Quality Skills: Proficiency in GD&T, FMEA, PQCT, and capability studies.
- Technical Expertise: Strong preference for plastic injection molding and process optimization.
- Standards: Solid understanding of AIAG and ISO 9000 compliance.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
