What are the responsibilities and job description for the Die Repair Journeyman- 3rd Shift position at Gecom Corporation?
Position Summary: Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot dies.
Essential Functions (Accountable for the following end results):
1. Assist experienced Tool & Die Makers with preventive maintenance on stamping dies and tooling.
2. Learn to disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, and reassemble production tooling.
3. Required to operate basic tooling equipment such as mills, lathes, hand tools, etc.
4. Work well within a multi-functional team environment.
5. Able to utilize basic measurement equipment such as height gauges, feeler gauges, gauge blocks, micrometers, etc.
6. Develop the ability to troubleshoot issues with dies, strips, etc.
7. Prioritize workload within the group.
8. Maintain and project a positive attitude.
9. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and tooling prints.
10. Complete additional tasks and assignments given by Supervisor/Manager.
11. Consistent and regular attendance.
Competencies
Journeyman's license
High school diploma or GED
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Forklift license/overhead crane certification (As Needed)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.35 per hour
