About the Opportunity
Key Areas of Placement
Back-of-House Track (Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager)
- Culinary Standards: Direct daily high-volume scratch kitchen operations, ensuring uncompromising food quality, plating, and consistency.
- Cost Controls: Take ownership of food costs, vendor ordering, waste logs, and inventory management to maximize profitability.
- Team Leadership: Train, schedule, and inspire a diverse BOH team (line cooks, prep, dish) to maintain a highly collaborative workspace.
- Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with Columbus Public Health standards, sanitation protocols, and workplace safety guidelines
Front-of-House Track (Service Manager / Assistant General Manager)
- Guest Relations: Act as the face of the business on the floor, building neighborhood rapport and swiftly resolving guest complaints with grace.
- FOH Excellence: Lead daily service shifts, optimize seating grids, and manage high-volume bar and beverage programs.
- Financial Oversight: Manage controllable expenses, optimize labor schedules, handle daily cash drops, and track shift-level P&L data.
- Culture & Retention: Recruit, onboard, and continuously train front-of-house staff (servers, bartenders, hosts) to lower turnover and elevate service.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven Track Record: 2 years of management experience in a high-volume hospitality environment ($3M–$6M annual revenue preferred).
- Leadership Style: Hands-on leader who coaches in the moment, leads by example, and thrives in high-stress, fast-paced situations.
- Business Acumen: Solid understanding of restaurant financial metrics (prime costs, labor percentages, margin management).
- Certifications: Current ServSafe Manager certification.
- Availability: Flexibility to work a dynamic hospitality schedule, including late nights, weekends, and holidays
