What are the responsibilities and job description for the Working Construction Foreman position at Gec Trucking Inc?
GEC Trucking & Construction, Inc. is looking for a construction foreman responsible for overseeing daily operations at a worksite to ensure the completion project(s) in a safe and efficient manner. This position is directly responsible for the coordination of field personnel, serving as the liaison between the customer, Construction Superintendent, Project Managers, and trade professionals to ensure that quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work handson alongside crew of workers
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
- Adhere to the job schedules taking in account forecasting and planning activities
- Proactively requesting materials/equipment for the project
- Delegate responsibilities and tasks to crew members, contractors, and other workers according to priorities and plans
- Resolve problems when they arise
- Report on progress to Project Manager and other stakeholders etc.
- Ensure all safety precautions and quality standards are met
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in the Construction field
- OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid certifications at minimum
- A minimum of 5 years of experience using heavy equipment
- Indepth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Follow DOT regulations; ensuring proper permits and driving regulations are followed
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
