Job Description:
GEC Trucking & Construction, Inc. is looking for an experienced Construction Site Supervisor to manage vertical projects for the Federal government and local municipalities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire construction process, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating subcontractors.
- Keep accurate records of work progress, material deliveries, worker hours, and other projectrelated data.
- Prepare daily or weekly progress reports and updating stakeholders.
- Adhere to the job schedules taking in account forecasting and planning activities
- Proactively requesting materials/equipment for the project.
- Delegate responsibilities and tasks to crew members, contractors, and other workers according to priorities and plans.
- Resolve problems when they arise.
- Report on progress to Supervisors and other stakeholders etc.
- Ensure all safety precautions and quality standards are met.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in the Construction field
- OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certifications at minimum
- A minimum of 5 years heavy equipment operations
- Able to use a computer and utilize software applications to submit reports
- Indepth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Follow DOT regulations; ensuring proper permits and driving regulations are followed
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass company’s background check and DoD security process for base access
