What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Operator position at Gebhart Holdings?
POSITION SUMMARY: The Utility Operator is a general laborer that covers both yard operations and all Shipping & Receiving duties for Metal Source Recycling during second shift operations.
REPORTS TO: Shipping & Receiving Manager
SUPERVISES: N/A
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create scale house tickets and data entry.
- Loading, unloading and sorting of materials.
- Operate the car pad by loading and unloading autos and properly process the auto.
- Operate the buy room.
- Snow removal when applicable
- Sweep all concrete and dock area to keep walk / driveways free of debris.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by Shipping & Receiving Manager, as an extension of the S & R team but is not a utility person to supplement production.
- Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position.
- Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Previous heavy equipment experience required.
- PIT License required.
