GeBBS Healthcare Solutions is looking for FT HIM Records Specialists for a hospital located in Blythe, California. This position will be a hybrid role, working on-site 3 days per week and remotely 2 days per week. On-site hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST. This is an employee status (W-2) position, working Monday - Friday.
This role will be responsible for performing all tasks related to Release of Information, Scanning, Chart Analysis, Physician Deficiencies, and follow-up.

GeBBS Healthcare Solutions is looking for FT HIM Records Specialists for a hospital located in Blythe, California. This role will be responsible for performing all tasks related to Release of Information, Scanning, Chart Analysis, Physician Deficiencies, and follow-up.
- Performs general HIM duties including preparing, compiling, analyzing, and maintaining clinical records
- Scanning and importing documents into the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Enters and retrieves data via the EHR, web portals, file-bound systems, Word, or Excel as necessary
- Assists in the release of confidential information in accordance with agency policies, procedures, and federal/state laws
- Distribution of physician deficiency letters
- Chart analysis within Cerner EMR
- Maintains a professional, positive attitude with strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an HIM office environment (ROI, Scanning, Chart Analysis/Deficiency Management)
- Release of Information experience required
- Scanning experience required
- Chart analysis experience preferred
- Oracle/Cerner experience required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines is mandatory
- Must reside within 90 minutes of Blythe, California and be available to work on-site 3 days per week
- Position is a hybrid role (on-site and remote)
- Credentialed through AAPC or AHIMA preferred
