Employment type: Full-Time (A reduced schedule of 30–35 hours per week may be considered for the right candidate)
Pay: $26.00–$31.25 per hour
Reports to: Vice President Buffalo Operations

Gear Motions – Buffalo Operations is a leading manufacturer of high-quality custom gears, serving customers who depend on precision, quality, and reliability. We are seeking a personable, approachable, people-focused, highly organized Human Resources (HR) Coordinator /Accounting Assistant.
The ideal candidate is professional, empathetic, and committed to treating every employee with respect while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and integrity. You will serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers, build positive relationships, and support a respectful workplace.
This position combines HR coordination with payroll, accounting, and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will build meaningful relationships with employees while serving as a trusted partner to local leadership and Corporate Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities
Human Resources
- Coordinate daily HR administration and employee support.
- Recruiting, phone screens, interviews, onboarding and offboarding.
- Maintain personnel files and HR records.
- Administer PTO, FMLA, PFL, OSHA and compliance.
- Benefits administration and training tracking.
- Support employee relations with confidentiality and sound judgment.
- Partner with the Vice President, Corporate Controller and Corporate HR.
- Participate on employee and safety committees.
- Promote teamwork, professionalism and company values.
- Maintain open timely and professional positive interactions with senior management to ensure alignment on HR initiatives, policies and employee matters.
Payroll & Accounting
- Prepare payroll data and serve as payroll backup.
- Process deposits, cash receipts, A/P invoices and A/R follow-up in Global Shop ERP.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and communicate with leadership.
- Review accounts receivable aging reports and professionally follow-up on past due customer accounts.
General Administrative Support
- Provide purchasing backup, shipping documentation and office support.
- Contribute across multiple business functions and assist with special projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3 years of HR, payroll, accounting, or related administrative experience.
- Manufacturing and ERP experience is a plus.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and ability to learn new systems.
