What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineer position at GE Vernova?
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the project manager and project team with project documentation and control, job cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts. In order to be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritizing those tasks' completion.
*On-site role located in Shreveport, LA*
Essential Responsibilities :
• Coordinate technical development projects from conception to completion to ensure projects meet goals on time and within budget
• Assist in development of project plans and definition of scope of project
• Coordinate in design, development and implementation process
• Provide engineering expertise for technical oversight on specifications, engineering standards and safety regulations
• Monitor project budgets and schedules
• Collaborate with project teams including engineers, designers, suppliers and contractors to ensure alignment and efficiency
• Conduct site evaluations and ensure the final product meets quality standards and requirements
• Identify and troubleshoot technical challenges that arise during the project lifecycle
• Maintain, update & present detailed project plans to track progress to all necessary stakeholders
• Develop Relationships with clients/stakeholders/vendors/contractors
• All other duties as deemed necessary.
Qualifications/Requirements :
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 1-3 years previous project engineering experience
•Strong oral and written communication skills
•Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
•Ability to work independently
•Must have analytical and problem solving ability
•Strong project management skills
