Role Overview
The Sourcing Manufacturing Engineer & Initiatives Leader will own and drive complex delivery, cost, capacity, and design issues with suppliers. The role will partner with Business Sourcing Leadership to develop Growth Playbook strategies, identify opportunities to create competition by expanding global footprint, and augment Commodity teams where needed.

Role Overview
The Sourcing Manufacturing Engineer & Initiatives Leader will own and drive complex delivery, cost, capacity, and design issues with suppliers. Roles And Responsibilities
- Act as the Manufacturing Engineering focal for assigned supplier base and own the technical performance of those suppliers.
- Assess Lean and capacity capabilities at assigned suppliers and engage Systems FLIGHT DECK (Lean) teams to drive Cost projects.
- Provide manufacturing expertise across multiple related part families and processes, including electronics manufacturing and machining.
- Proactively identify delivery barriers and resolve with Fulfilment, Commercial, and Quality teams.
- Manage projects for suppliers and collaborate with internal and external teams to implement solutions.
- Drive cost reduction efforts within assigned supply base and proactively engage in addressing cost issues.
- Use a high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems.
- Assess the quality of information and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders.
- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience, including explaining information outside of immediate team and developing skills to support consensus around topics within the function.
- Travel approximately 60%
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 12 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, and/or Supply Chain)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, and/or Supply Chain
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working directly with Suppliers
- 15 years of experience in Electronics Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, and/or Supply Chain
- 10 years of experience in Sourcing, Shop Operations, and Production Control
- 10 years of experience in Aerospace and/or Automotive
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
