Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Metrology and optical inspection process ownership of assigned processes
- Develop in-depth expertise to become subject matter expert of assigned processes
- Coordinate the design, development and implementation of programs according to the drawing and specification requirements
- Responsible for machinery selection along with development or improvement concepts
- Drive the qualification of new equipment
- Design and develop new processes to support new product introductions
- Drive efforts to support and meet production schedules, including safety, quality, and delivery
- Utilize Lean principles and participate in action workouts to improve product cost, throughput and quality
- Display a dedicated, team-oriented work ethic with personal ownership while having a goal-focused mindset
- Possess a strong desire to grow and learn new manufacturing processes and possess ability to know when to seek help
- Have flexibility in hours/shift of work; ability to flex schedule for training and/or shop coverage needs
- Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience), plus a minimum of 3 years of metrology experience
- Extensive knowledge of metrology in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with optical 3D inspection processes
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) experience a plus
- Prior process / manufacturing knowledge of high-pressure turbine blade manufacturing
- Hands-on shop floor experience with experience providing technical direction
- Demonstrate ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
