Job Description
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary interface with the customer’s quality team, addressing quality issues and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Write detailed reports and corrective actions and present them during weekly meetings with the customer.
- Review and analyze technical data, drawings, and work instructions to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including business leaders, other quality engineers, production engineers, and engineering teams, to troubleshoot and perform failure analysis.
- Assist with quality issues in production and repair shop.
- Lead small projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline from an accredited college/university (or High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 8 years of experience in quality within a manufacturing environment)
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control within a manufacturing environment
- This position requires U.S. citizenship status
- The hours for this role are 7:00am-4pm eastern; subject to change based on business needs
- In-depth knowledge of quality assurance and quality control processes; understanding of industry standards and regulations related to manufacturing and quality control
- Customer-focused mindset with a strong commitment to supporting and addressing customer quality concerns, ensuring satisfaction and compliance with quality standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives
- Proven experience in lean manufacturing principles, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
- Strong analytical skillset to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with both electrical and mechanical products
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
- Experience in reviewing and analyzing technical data
- Ability to work independently, managing tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
