Associate Data Center Network Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking an Associate Data Center Network Engineer to support the deployment, migration, and ongoing operations of modern data center network environments. This is a hands-on, entry-level opportunity ideal for candidates looking to build deep expertise in data center technologies while working alongside experienced engineers.
You will play a key role in implementing and supporting spine-leaf VXLAN fabrics, assisting with network device staging, and contributing to critical migration and validation efforts. This position requires strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and flexibility to support after-hours and weekend activities as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the deployment and migration of data center network infrastructure
- Perform rack and stack of network hardware and support device staging activities
- Support implementation of spine-leaf architectures and VXLAN-based fabrics
- Work with tools such as Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC) for configuration and management
- Participate in migration cutovers, including preparation, execution, and validation
- Troubleshoot network issues under the guidance of senior engineers
- Validate configurations and ensure adherence to design standards
- Maintain accurate network documentation and updates
- Support Day 1 and Day 2 operations, including monitoring and issue resolution
Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching)
- Familiarity with Cisco networking technologies
- Strong willingness to learn data center networking (VXLAN, EVPN, spine-leaf architecture)
- Ability to follow technical procedures and work in a team environment
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Availability for after-hours and weekend work when required
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to data center technologies or lab experience with Cisco Nexus platforms
- Familiarity with network automation or scripting fundamentals
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA or working toward certification)
