The Edison, NJ plant makes PVC fitting covers and jacketing for use with Micro-Lok as well as other types of pipe insulation.
This is a critical role supporting daily production operations, process stability, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Process Engineer plays a key part in maintaining equipment efficiency, troubleshooting production issues, supporting quality standards, and driving process optimization efforts across the facility.
Key Qualifications:
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, preferably with SAP experience
Experience collaborating with vendors to leverage technical expertise and implement solutions
Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
Plastics and/or extrusion manufacturing experience – strong plus.
Job Details:
The purpose of the Process Engineer’s role will be to provide technical leadership to operate a major asset (typical annual revenue of $50MM to $200MM) at target regarding output, usage of material and energy by meeting the product specifications.
The Process Engineer II will be responsible for addressing improvements in process efficiency, product quality, and the cost of poor quality for the process, leading process optimization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
3 years of experience in industrial continuous process manufacturing
Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements
Demonstrated problem solving skills including complex data analysis
Successful history of innovation and adaptability
Solid project management skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks
Proven results orientation including the ability to lead key projects to successful completion
Experience with DOE for process improvement
Solid interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to set and communicate expectations to team members
Demonstrated collaboration skills including the ability to interact with a broad range of employees
Proven ability to make timely decisions
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Ability to interface at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
Supervises/Leads individuals or a project team to achieve milestones and objectives by setting priorities and providing direction.
