Job Description
GD Resources LLC is seeking experienced CT Technologists to provide diagnostic and interventional CT imaging services for the VA Portland Health Care System.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform routine and advanced CT examinations.
- Perform head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis and extremity CT examinations.
- Perform CT angiography and 3D/multiplanar reconstructions.
- Support interventional CT procedures, biopsies, aspirations and drainage procedures.
- Prepare and administer contrast under appropriate clinical direction.
- Perform IV insertion and monitor patients for contrast reactions.
- Maintain radiation-dose optimization and patient safety.
- Operate CT, fluoroscopy, portable radiography and related imaging equipment.
- Maintain electronic records and properly transmit images to PACS.
- Follow sterile technique, infection control and radiation-safety requirements.
- Coordinate urgent, STAT, pre-op, inpatient and emergency examinations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience with advanced CT applications.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and radiographic imaging principles.
- Demonstrated ability to operate CT and related imaging equipment.
- Experience should include CT, general diagnostic imaging, portable radiography, fluoroscopy, angiography and OR procedures.
- Current BLS required under the contract-wide personnel requirements.
