Technical Program Manager

Role Summary

This position requires an experienced Technical Program Manager with a strong background in managing large-scale software development and testing projects. The role involves overseeing complex programs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and implementing innovative processes to drive project success. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership, ensure stakeholder alignment, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and quality within a fast-paced technology environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage large software development and testing programs, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
• Develop detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures, schedules, and resource allocation, utilizing proven program management methodologies.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among engineering, product management, and other teams to define project scope and resolve complex technical issues.
• Apply Agile and other project management frameworks to optimize workflows, improve efficiency, and ensure iterative delivery.
• Identify, analyze, and mitigate potential risks throughout the project lifecycle, implementing effective contingency plans.
• Drive continuous process improvements by connecting technical innovations to organizational vision and customer experience goals.
• Establish and maintain governance, including stakeholder reviews such as Quarterly Executive Reviews and Monthly Progress Meetings, to ensure progress and impact.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues clearly to stakeholders and executive leadership, maintaining transparency and alignment.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information and ensure all programs comply with organizational policies and procedures.
• Proactively engage with engineering and technical teams to address sophisticated problems, understand product use cases, and ensure technical accuracy and responsiveness.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience leading software development and testing projects, with successful management of complex large-scale programs.
• 5 years of experience using Jira for project tracking and management.
• 3 years of experience working within Agile development methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to apply program management principles and best practices in technical environments.
• Proven success in achieving key business outcomes through program management.
• Strong understanding of a wide range of technical subjects and technologies relevant to software programs.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to develop and maintain detailed project documentation, governance structures, and review cadences.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders and fostering alignment on program objectives.

Publishing Pay Range: $70.00 – $75.00 Hourly

This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
