- Design, Install, and Maintain Infrastructure Lead the deployment, configuration, and upgrade of enterprise infrastructure applications, virtualization platforms, and Windows operating systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting Continuously monitor system health, conduct testing to anticipate potential failures, and recommend or implement preventative measures. Provide swift and effective resolution of complex hardware and software issues.
- Documentation and Compliance Develop and maintain detailed infrastructure documentation, including system configurations and procedures, ensuring adherence to internal standards and best practices.
- Technical Leadership and Mentorship Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support, guiding junior team members and fostering a collaborative team environment. Lead projects related to virtualization, server hardware upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
- Virtualization and Hardware Expertise Install, upgrade, and support virtualization software and hardware hypervisors, with a focus on VMware environments and physical server infrastructure.
- Cross-Department Collaboration Act as a technical liaison across departments, translating complex technical concepts into understandable guidance, and fostering cooperative relationships to support organizational goals.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field combined with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on systems administration experience. Alternatively, 5 years of relevant experience emphasizing virtualization and physical hardware management.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server OS administration and best practices
- Strong expertise in virtualization (VMware preferred) and hypervisors
- Experience with server hardware, storage solutions, Active Directory, and blade enclosures
- Familiarity with networking concepts and multiple operating systems
- Professional Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proven ability to lead projects and guide team members effectively
