The administrator will participate in disaster recovery planning and testing, provide first-level help desk support, and adapt to diverse operational duties within customized data centers. - Operate, monitor, and maintain mainframe systems, peripherals, and related infrastructure to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Assist in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution to safeguard data and ensure business continuity.
- Provide first-level help desk support, troubleshooting user issues related to mainframe applications and systems.
- Manage system security functions, including user access, permissions, and security policies.
- Maintain comprehensive system documentation, including configuration, procedures, and operational logs.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency.
- Install, upgrade, and patch system-wide software and applications.
- Collaborate with network engineers and security teams to support integrated system operations.
- Develop and enforce policies and standards for resource allocation and system usage.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards for data security and operational excellence.
- Proven experience working in a mainframe environment is required.
- Proficiency with mainframe operating systems, hardware, and peripherals.
- Exposure to IDMS or similar database management systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with AGILE methodologies and practices is advantageous.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
