Role Summary
This technical support role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in hardware and software troubleshooting, network installation, and system upgrades. The position involves providing on-site support for Windows 10 systems, desktop applications, and network infrastructure within a dynamic environment. The individual will contribute to maintaining and optimizing communication technologies and network connectivity, ensuring seamless operations across various technical environments.
Responsibilities
- Perform hardware and software troubleshooting, installation, and upgrades on Windows 10 systems.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Office applications and other desktop software.
- Provide network support, including LAN/WAN configuration, cable installation (Cat5, Cat6, Fiber), and network communications troubleshooting.
- Rack and stack equipment in technical environments, ensuring proper setup and maintenance.
- Maintain and support communication technologies such as Cisco, Aruba, and Ubiquiti radios.
- Support mobile device enrollment, application deployment, and updates on iOS platforms.
- Manage Active Directory user and computer objects and implement Group Policy basics.
- Document technical processes, incident reports, and support activities accurately in service management systems.
- Travel daily within West Texas using rental vehicles, including overnight stays as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding technical issues and solutions.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in field technical support, network installation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service orientation and effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in Windows 10, Microsoft Office, and general software troubleshooting.
- Proven hardware installation and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with LAN/WAN technologies, cable installation, and network communications.
- Knowledge of Cisco, Aruba, and Ubiquiti radio technologies is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SCCM/Intune, Citrix, and Active Directory concepts is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate rental vehicles for daily travel.
- Availability to work on-site in Midland, TX, including flexibility for overnight stays.
Publishing Pay Range: $30.00 - $35.00 hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
