We’re seeking an Electrical Engineer III to lead and execute complex electrical engineering projects that directly support critical infrastructure operations. In this role, you’ll design and optimize power distribution systems, troubleshoot and improve reliability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, compliant, cost-effective solutions. You may also lead small project teams and present technical recommendations to stakeholders.

- Design, implement, and optimize electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting critical infrastructure (e.g., facilities, stations, and related operations).
- Integrate advanced technologies (automation, real-time monitoring, energy storage) to improve performance and reduce operating costs.
- Implement and support safety initiatives, including arc flash mitigation and fault detection.
- Produce/review electrical schematics, one-lines, system layouts, and technical documentation for new builds and upgrades.
- Support projects from concept through execution while aligning to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with internal partners and external stakeholders to deliver engineering solutions that meet customer needs.
- Participate in procurement support (specs, vendor coordination) and assist with commissioning/testing/startup as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited), OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology (ABET-accredited, relevant field) plus P.E. license and 4 years of engineering experience in natural gas, data centers, or related industry.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a safety-first mindset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general PC skills.
- Working knowledge of electrical design codes/standards (e.g., NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE).
- Experience reviewing arc flash studies and recommending/implementing improvements.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure.
- PLC/HMI and instrumentation systems experience.
- Project management experience.
- Experience with Pre-FEED/FEED/EPC delivery for small-to-mid-sized facility projects.
- Power system design/analysis/simulation tools (e.g., ETAP, MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD or similar).
- Knowledge of high-voltage equipment (transformers, generators, switchgear) and grid integration/renewables.
- Commissioning, testing, and startup support experience.
- Established vendor/supplier familiarity for sourcing electrical equipment/materials.
- Candidate should be comfortable balancing hands-on technical work with project leadership and stakeholder communication.
