The specialist supports supply planning policies and collaborates closely with various departments to optimize logistics operations, emphasizing accuracy and quality in all tasks.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify raw materials, in-process, and finished products against documentation such as invoices and shipping manifests.
- Manage outbound shipping of finished goods and in-process products to multiple manufacturing locations globally.
- Conduct inventory cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels and record discrepancies.
- Build product subassemblies or final assemblies systematically, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Develop, distribute, and coordinate production schedules and work orders across departments.
- Organize and oversee the distribution and shipment of raw materials and finished products, ensuring timely delivery.
- Maintain internal record-keeping systems and document all inventory and shipping transactions accurately.
- Utilize multiple systems and software daily, including shipping software (FedEx, UPS, DHL), inventory management tools, and ERP systems.
- Collaborate with Inventory, Receiving, Manufacturing personnel, and other stakeholders to meet logistics and production goals.
- Perform other related duties supporting supply chain and manufacturing operations as required.
- High school diploma, GED, or electronic certification required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in inventory, shipping, receiving, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Windows, and SharePoint.
- Experience with shipping software such as FedEx, UPS, DHL, or similar.
- Strong understanding of inventory transactions, transfers, issues, and quarantine procedures.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain operations.
- Excellent attention to detail, deductive reasoning, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an ERP-centric environment and adapt to changing priorities.
