Job Description: The Storage Administrator will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of AFTAC’s NetApp storage systems, ensuring that data is securely stored, backed up, and compliant with all relevant security and performance standards. This role will involve troubleshooting storage performance, implementing disaster recovery solutions, and managing backup systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage NetApp storage systems (SAN and NAS) to ensure high availability and performance.
- Implement disaster recovery strategies and manage NetApp replication technologies.
- Optimize storage performance, using NetApp tools, and recommend corrective actions for any performance issues.
- Perform backups, monitor backup jobs, and ensure compliance with DoD disaster recovery policies.
- Troubleshoot storage issues and collaborate with vendors for resolution.
- Prepare technical reports on storage performance and fault trends.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience with NetApp storage systems.
- Certifications: Security required, NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA).
- Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions, such as Veritas NetBackup.
- Top Secret Clearance
- IAT Level 2
Desired Qualifications:
- NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (NCIE)
