Job Description: The VMware System Administrator will be responsible for managing and optimizing VMware environments to support virtualized applications, including VMware vSphere and related technologies. This role will ensure that all virtualized solutions are deployed, maintained, and optimized to meet the performance and security requirements of AFTAC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer VMware systems, including virtualized solutions, hosts, and VMware vSphere.
- Support disaster recovery strategies, including VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) and vMotion.
- Optimize virtualization performance, adjusting configurations as necessary.
- Provide support for containerization platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Perform system backups, patching, and upgrades on virtualized environments.
- Document and report system performance, faults, and maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience with VMware administration.
- Certifications: Security required, VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
- Experience in managing virtualized infrastructures and cloud platforms.
