We’re seeking a Staff Network Engineer to design and deploy high‑performance network systems supporting a nationwide 5G infrastructure. This role focuses on modernizing routing architecture, including consolidating 38 data centers into 11 using an MPLS/Segment Routing backbone. You’ll lead major engineering initiatives, drive network optimization, and ensure a resilient, scalable, and future‑ready network.
Responsibilities
- Analyze network/service specifications and define architecture for complex multi‑VRF environments.
- Design, plan, and implement large‑scale service‑provider network configurations.
- Create high‑level and low‑level network diagrams for engineering solutions.
- Lead network testing, validation, and integration to ensure end‑to‑end performance.
- Provide hands‑on support for 24x7 production operations.
- Drive upgrades, enhancements, and new feature deployments across the network.
Required Skills
- 10 years in large enterprise or service‑provider networking.
- Expert in ISIS, MPLS, Segment Routing, and advanced BGP.
- Strong experience with multi‑VRF, QoS, traffic shaping, IPAM, DNS, DHCP.
- Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, TACACS, ISE, and network security principles.
- Automation skills with Python, Bash, or Ansible.
- Bachelor’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering preferred; CCNA/CCNP/CCIE a plus.
- Cloud networking experience (AWS/Azure) is beneficial.
