Senior EHS Specialist – Training Development (Contract-to-Hire)
Our client in San Diego is seeking an experienced Senior EHS Specialist to lead Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) training and compliance initiatives in a high-tech manufacturing environment. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for a self-driven professional with expertise in EHS training program development, OSHA/Cal-OSHA compliance, and safety leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and enhance the site's EHS training program, including training matrices, compliance tracking, and LMS administration.
- Develop and deliver safety leadership training for supervisors, managers, and leadership teams.
- Facilitate engaging classroom and hands-on training while partnering with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and accurate training documentation.
- Support incident investigations and implement training improvements based on findings.
- Track training metrics, certifications, and compliance data to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in EHS, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7 years of EHS experience in semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, or similar environments.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA/Cal-OSHA regulations and experience with LMS platforms.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.
- CSP, ASP, CHST, or related certification preferred.
This is a full-time, 40-hour/week contract position with strong potential for permanent hire based on performance and business needs.
