Quality Control Technician – 2nd Shift

Position Summary
The Quality Control Technician – 2nd Shift is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of products throughout the manufacturing process, from raw materials and inventory through finished goods. This position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with customer specifications, food safety standards, and company quality programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine quality inspections and testing throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards, and customer specifications.
- Monitor production processes and identify, investigate, and report non-conformances, working collaboratively with management to implement corrective actions.
- Communicate quality and compliance concerns promptly and effectively.
- Conduct inspections at all stages of production to verify product conformance.
- Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of AIB program requirements.
- Support compliance with customer requirements and internal quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Converting, Lamination, and Blown Film departments to achieve quality objectives.
- Assist management in executing corrective and preventive actions to maintain ongoing compliance with customer specifications.
- Interpret data from routine analyses to verify product quality and approve materials for customer shipment.
- Work closely with the Research & Development Manager and Quality Supervisor to support quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection, quality control, and/or manufacturing production experience preferred.
- Previous Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Experience with AIB and/or SQF certification programs required.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments and testing equipment.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and computer skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to maintaining compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and AIB requirements.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
