Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Construction Laborer with extensive Equipment Operator experience to join our team. In this vital role, you will be actively involved in a variety of construction projects, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and heavy equipment operation skills to ensure efficient and safe project execution. Your expertise in operating machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks will be essential in completing tasks with precision and safety. Duties
- Operate heavy construction equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks to perform site preparation, grading, excavation, and material transport.
- Assist with construction site activities such as but not limited to trenching, paving, horizontal drilling, and tanker operations to support project timelines.
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on all machinery to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to execute construction plans accurately and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Support the setup and breakdown of construction sites by moving materials and equipment as needed.
- Follow detailed instructions for operating machinery and other heavy equipment with precision.
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors regarding progress, equipment issues, or safety concerns.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of construction equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks.
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery safely on commercial construction sites.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to minimize downtime.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for operating or transporting large vehicles such as dump trucks or water trucks.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices for heavy equipment operation.
