Quarry Loader Operator

What you will do:

This role is responsible for safely operating heavy mobile equipment to load, transport, and stockpile raw materials needed for slurry and cement production. The position ensures strict compliance with company safety rules, MSHA regulations, and environmental guidelines. Daily tasks include conducting workplace and equipment inspections, completing required documentation, and participating in certified training as needed. The role works closely with plant management and the Quarry Manager to meet production and chemistry targets, performs additional duties as assigned, and requires flexibility in scheduling, including shifts and overtime. Efficient operation of a 988 Quarry Loader for loading haul trucks is essential.

• Follow and comply with all company’s safety rules/procedures and environmental guidelines
• Load, transport, and stockpile raw materials as required for production of slurry and cement
• Will maintain a safe working environment, adhere to safety policies and practices
• Conduct daily workplace, and mobile equipment inspections, and complete required documentation
• Be familiar with MSHA safety rules, safety procedures for plant mobile equipment, lockout/tagout policy, confined space permit policy, hot work policy, emergency response plan, arc flash/shock and burn protection, proper containment and disposal process (via Waste Management Plan) for lubricants, paints/solvents and other environmentally sensitive materials
• Successfully complete specific certified training classes as needed or assigned.
• Will work where and when needed as directed by plant management/supervisory personnel to meet plant needs
• Works closely with Quarry Manager to ensure chemistry targets are achieved
• Other duties as assigned
• Shift as scheduled, overtime as assigned
• All bidders will be required to exercise equipment efficiency by operating 988 Quarry Loader Loading Haul Trucks

Work Hours:

Thursday - Sunday, 10 hrs/day position.

Sunday Premium pay (time and a half) every Sunday

Experience, Skills & Abilities:

• 2 Years or more of heavy equipment experience required.
• Hold a current CDL with tanker and Airbrakes endorsements is Preferred. May be required in the future for department demands
• Basic mechanical aptitude or background required.
• Ability to perform daily inspection and servicing.
• Familiarity with crusher operations, capabilities, and limitations.
• Thorough knowledge of operating limitations of equipment, (i.e., weight, speed, braking capabilities).
