Maintenance Technician

Experience and abilities you will need:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years preventive maintenance, mechanical experience required.
• Knowledge of v-belts, chains and sprockets, gearboxes, couplings, pumps, conveyors, dust collectors, bearings, precision measurement and alignment, rigging.
• Knowledge of electrical(basic), plumbing, hydraulics, boiler, and air systems.
• Use of hand tools, power tools, shop tools and equipment, ladders, forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, cranes and rigging.

Work Hours:

This position is a day shift position Monday through Friday 7:00 AM-3:30 PM with some overtime and on call required.

What you will do:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment according to company safety processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

• Perform all work in a safe manner and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Maintain and repair equipment such as conveyor belts, dust collectors, screw conveyors, bucket elevators, crushers, screens, air compressors, water pumps, and hydraulic systems.
• Inspect equipment in accordance with the preventive maintenance schedule, and document and report all findings.
• Availability for emergency repairs of equipment in a timely manner.
• Maintain a positive attitude and work well in fast paced team environment.
• Conduct all work activities in compliance with Federal and State mining laws and company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
