Strong mathematical and analytical skills are essential to solve practical problems and manage complex variables with limited standardization.
This individual should be proficient in using computer software to monitor and track operational data, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in bulk loading processes. Flexibility and responsiveness are key, as the Terminal Manager must be available beyond standard working hours when needed, with the exception of approved PTO.
Experience and abilities you will need:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in shipping or transportation in the cement industry to be considered.
- Knowledge and ability to utilize computer software in monitoring and tracking data.
- Previous supervisory experience required.
- Strong mathematical skills to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Rapid City is in continuous 24/7 operation. The Terminal Manager typically works 5 days a week but must have a cell phone and be available as needed, with PTO exception.
What you will do:
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in handling bulk loading of Portland cement into rail cars and trucks for shipment to customers and terminals. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice. (Not an all-inclusive job description)
