Job Summary
We are hiring a Datacenter Hands and Feet Support Engineer to deliver on-site operational support for datacenter infrastructure. This role involves hardware installation, structured cabling, basic configuration, and coordination with remote engineering teams to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute rack and stack operations, including installation and removal of enterprise hardware such as HPE Gen10 servers, Dell EMC Unity XT storage systems, and Connectrix DS SAN switches.
- Perform structured cabling for power, LAN, and SAN connectivity following industry and organizational standards.
- Ensure accurate labeling and documentation aligned with rack elevation diagrams and asset management policies.
- Prepare equipment for shipment, including packaging and palletizing, in compliance with handling guidelines.
- Support initial device configuration to enable remote connectivity and management.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams for troubleshooting and validation activities.
- Adhere to all datacenter safety, security, and change management protocols.
- Maintain clear documentation and provide completion reports with supporting evidence.
Required Skills
- Experience in datacenter operations or Hands and Feet support roles
- Knowledge of server hardware, storage systems, and SAN environments
- Understanding of cabling standards, airflow management, and rack design
- Familiarity with ESD safety practices
- Strong communication and coordination skills
