Job description

GBC Advanced Materials is seeking an experienced person for CNC Set up/Operator/Programmer in Latrobe PA. Program (using CAD CAM software’s and G-Code, setup, and operation VMC’s and Lathes.

You will be responsible for:

  • Setting up and operating of a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and precision grinders to make ceramic parts, to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
  • Interprets prints, sketches, engineering specifications, and work order instructions for each operation.
  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
  • Design & Build simple fixtures as required to meet product conformity.
  • Complete routine machine maintenance.
  • Perform to commitments regarding on-time delivery and completion of projects.
  • Participate in safety improvements and initiatives as requested.
  • Maintain high ethical standards for conduct.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow employees.
  • Willing to work reasonable overtime as needed to meet customer and department demands.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Read and write G-Code.
  • Basic Shop Math.
  • CAD/CAM experience.
  • Experience working with CNC machining. HAAS Control experience is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Ceramic machining experience is considered as asset.
  • Experience with Fusion 360

Experience:

  • Manual/CNC Machining PxP: 3 years

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Salary is up to $35.00 per hour, DOE

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
