Job description
GBC Advanced Materials is seeking an experienced person for CNC Set up/Operator/Programmer in Latrobe PA. Program (using CAD CAM software’s and G-Code, setup, and operation VMC’s and Lathes.
You will be responsible for:
- Setting up and operating of a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and precision grinders to make ceramic parts, to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
- Interprets prints, sketches, engineering specifications, and work order instructions for each operation.
- May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
- Design & Build simple fixtures as required to meet product conformity.
- Complete routine machine maintenance.
- Perform to commitments regarding on-time delivery and completion of projects.
- Participate in safety improvements and initiatives as requested.
- Maintain high ethical standards for conduct.
- Work collaboratively with fellow employees.
- Willing to work reasonable overtime as needed to meet customer and department demands.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Read and write G-Code.
- Basic Shop Math.
- CAD/CAM experience.
- Experience working with CNC machining. HAAS Control experience is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Ceramic machining experience is considered as asset.
- Experience with Fusion 360
Experience:
- Manual/CNC Machining PxP: 3 years
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
