Were looking for a Project Manager to join our Civil/Site Development Group in Austin, Texas. This role is ideal for a highly motivated and detail-oriented civil engineer with 5 years of experience. Youll lead and support a team delivering site design and construction documents for a wide range of commercial, industrial, municipal, and residential developmentsincluding mixed-use, office, retail, multi- and single-family residential, warehouse/distribution, medical, and recreational facilities.
What Youll Do
As a Project Manager, youll:
- Plan, schedule, budget, assign, supervise, and motivate project team members.
- Manage site engineering plans including layouts, grading, storm drainage, water, utility, street and sanitary sewer design, and erosion control.
- Provide oversight and quality control for calculations, design drawings, and specifications.
- Review and analyze field data collection.
- Prepare written studies and technical reports.
- Attend client meetings and provide project updates.
- Represent client interests in meetings and conferences with stakeholders.
- Oversee construction observation activities.
- Coach and mentor junior staff.
- Lead coordination with utility providers, contractors, and permitting authorities.
- Assist with project pursuits and proposal preparation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
- BS in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain.
- 5 years of progressive civil engineering experience with a focus on land development.
- Ability to manage fast-paced projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal design regulations and industry practices.
- Strong understanding of land development planning and entitlement processes.
- Experience with HEC-HMS and StormCAD or similar modeling tools preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Self-starter with leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Active involvement in professional organizations.
- Interest in business development and maintaining project workload.
Travel
Some local day and overnight travel may be required.
