Duties
- Operate a variety of trucks and trailers , flatbed , sand chassis , hoppers and water transports .
- Load and unload materials at designated sites Following all safety procedures.
- Drive route schedules confidently while adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before departure.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and incident reports throughout each shift.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate deliveries and address any logistical challenges promptly.
- Ensure all cargo is secured properly during transit to prevent accidents or damage.
Requirements
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving, including tractor-trailer operations.
- Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles and various trailer types such as flatbed, tanker, sand chassis or roll-off trucks.
- Delivery driver experience preferred, especially in industrial or construction environments involving freight handling.
- Ability to follow directions and use CB communication.
- Strong knowledge of route driving practices with excellent navigation skills.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with necessary endorsements for different vehicle types.
