Gateways Inn & Restaurant is seeking polished, hospitality-driven Servers to join our team in the heart of the Berkshires. Located within a historic boutique inn, Gateways offers an elevated dining experience featuring refined cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, an award-winning wine list, and live piano entertainment. Our servers are expected to deliver warm, attentive, and detail-oriented service that creates memorable experiences for every guest.
Responsibilities:
- Provide elevated, dining service with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail
- Guide guests through food, wine, cocktail, and dessert selections with confidence and knowledge
- Maintain knowledge of menu ingredients, preparation methods, wine pairings, and daily specials
- Deliver seamless table service, including proper coursing, table maintenance, and refined guest interaction
- Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service throughout the dining experience
- Accurately enter orders into the POS system and communicate clearly with kitchen and bar teams
- Ensure tables are set and maintained according to fine dining standards
- Assist with wine service, specialty cocktails, and elevated guest requests
- Support private events, weddings, and seasonal dining experiences as needed
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and professionalism throughout all service areas
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and Massachusetts alcohol service regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous dining or upscale restaurant experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and service etiquette
- Exceptional communication and guest service skills
- Professional appearance and polished demeanor
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
