Bartender

Gateways Inn & Restaurant is seeking an energetic, hospitality-driven Bartender to join our team in the heart of the Berkshires. Our bartenders create a welcoming and memorable guest experience by providing exceptional service, preparing quality cocktails, and maintaining a polished and professional bar atmosphere in our historic inn and restaurant.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to restaurant and lounge guests
• Provide friendly, attentive, and professional guest service at all times
• Maintain strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, beer, and seasonal specialty drinks
• Recommend beverages, pairings, and menu items to enhance the guest experience
• Accurately process orders and payments through the POS system
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, lounge, and service areas
• Restock liquor, wine, beer, glassware, garnishes, and supplies as needed
• Follow all Massachusetts liquor laws, food safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Assist servers and support overall restaurant operations during busy service periods
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment
• Support special events, weddings, and seasonal programming as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous bartending or restaurant experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Wine and cocktail knowledge preferred
• Must be reliable, professional, and team-oriented
• Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required
• Must meet all legal age requirements for serving alcohol in Massachusetts
