Experienced Yard Spotter/Jockey Driver wanted for a Night Shift job opportunity in Dekalb, IL. You will enjoy a set schedule in a safe and stable warehouse environment, driving in the yard only. Responsibilities
- Move trailers, safely and efficiently, to support warehouse and distribution needs by placing and pulling trailers between dock doors
- Professionally interface with the customer, local management team, and on-site vendors in a professional manner
- Maintain a Safety-First attitude
- One year, recent, verifiable, spotting/yard driving experience OR one year, recent, verifiable, Class A CDL driving experience
- Be at least 23 years of age
- Have prior experience as a yard spotter, exhibiting the following:
- Good Safety Record
- Good physical condition; must be able to get in and out of trucks several times per day
- Good backing skills
- Ability to operate in extreme heat and cold, depending on elements
- Be reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Have a great attitude and strong work ethic
- Not have any DUI/DWI, Careless/Reckless driving citations, or revoked/suspended license in the past 5 years
- Not have more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years
- Exhibit an on-site driving skills assessment test (current 3-Year MVR required to be supplied at interview)
- Pass a complete DOT physical, if CDL qualified, and a pre-employment drug screen
