Gateway Supply Company is seeking a driven and results-oriented Outside Sales Representative to support and grow our HVAC customer base in the greater Greenville and Upstate, SC area.
We’re looking for a self-motivated, disciplined team player with a proven track record of success. This role offers a competitive compensation package that includes a base salary, monthly commissions, and quarterly bonuses.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with plumbing and mechanical contractors throughout the Upstate, SC area.
- Identify new business opportunities and grow existing accounts through consistent customer engagement and follow-up.
- Promote and sell HVAC, and industrial supply products, leveraging Gateway Supply’s full product offering and vendor partnerships.
- Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions to meet project and business requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams—including inside sales, purchasing, and delivery—to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient order fulfillment.
- Track sales performance, prepare reports, and maintain customer records.
- Stay current on product knowledge, market trends, and competitor activity to effectively position Gateway Supply as a leader in the market.
- Attend training sessions, vendor events, and trade shows as needed to support ongoing education and sales development.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and performance metrics.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in the plumbing, HVAC, or industrial supply industry
- Strong knowledge of plumbing and mechanical systems is a plus
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational abilities
- Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Follow sales and growth goals outlined by Management
- Professional appearance and conduct are a must
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
