Circles Upstate SC is a chapter of CirclesUSA and lays under the umbrella of SHARE. SHARE is a non-profit Community Action Agency that provides a wide range of services to low and moderate-income residents in upstate South Carolina.

Circles provides families in poverty with training and connections to exit poverty.
Families attend weekly meetings in which children split into age groups and go through the Children's Circles Curriculum. Volunteers are needed to help with child care in order to allow the participants to attend the meetings and seminars that will empower them to exit poverty.

Time Commitment about 2 hours (5 15 pm-7 30 pm) every Wednesday!

Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must consent to and pass an FBI and/or state background check.
- Must read, sign and follow childcare policies and procedures and confidentiality policies.
- Able to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Support the Children’s Program in the care, safety, and education of children.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of the Circles USA children’s curriculum.
- Maintain an environment that is clean, safe, and promotes children’s development.
- Arrange the classroom environment to meet program goals.
- Assist with the routine cleaning in the classroom.
- Address parental concerns or discuss as soon as possible with the Children’s Coordinator.
- Assist with making accident reports, as needed.
- Provide input on children’s growth, development and needs and maintain communication with parents, as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Report any suspected abuse to the Children’s Program Coordinator or Circles Staff.
- Assist the Children’s Program Coordinator with other duties as needed.
- Build relationships with children and their families through dinner and interaction each week at the Circles meeting.
- Ensure children are participating and listening during lesson time, often providing one-on-one
- Engage the children by reading a book, helping with homework, or providing positive attention
