What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN & LPN - Pittsburgh, PA position at Gateway Rehabilitation Center?
Gateway Rehab Center is looking for RNs or LPNs who wish to work PRN in the Pittsburgh area. Location and schedule will vary.
Our RNs or LPNs provide direct patient nursing care which includes administering medication and carrying out therapeutic treatments.
Responsibilities:
- Administers medications.
- Carries out prescribed therapeutic treatments.
- Documents nursing observations and patient care rendered.
- Participates in the planning, implementing, and evaluating of nursing care.
- Intervenes in crises and other emergency situations and provides admission phone triage.
- Coordinates with all GRC departments as appropriate.
- Provides patient health education.
- Completes employee health duties.
- Intervenes in crises for all GRC departments during off hours.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be skilled and physically able to perform necessary medical interventions when needed.
- Must demonstrate the good judgement, decision making and leadership skills necessary to take responsibility for nursing-related patient care.
Basic Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current state licensure as a registered or practical nurse.
- CPR Certification
Preferred Requirements:
- Two years’ experience in nursing field preferred.

- Obtain PA Child Abuse and FBI Clearances
- Pass Drug Screen
- TB
