About the Role
Gateway Medical Solutions is growing and looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Payment Poster to join our team!
Payment posters play a key role in our billing process by ensuring all patient and insurance payments are accurately applied, denials are recognized and routed correctly, and reports are maintained for smooth revenue flow.

Starting pay is $15.00/hour and is negotiable based on level of experience.
Responsibilities
- Accurately post patient and insurance payments to accounts and visits
- Review and identify denials; communicate with billing or A/R teams for follow-up
- Run patient statements, hold reports, and reconciliation reports
- Notify EDI of insurances not set up for Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA)
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all transactions
Qualifications
- Tech savvy and eager to learn new systems
- Comfortable navigating multiple websites and working in Microsoft Office
- Strong arithmetic and pattern recognition skills
- Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills
- Prior medical billing or payment posting experience is a plus but not required- we will train the right person!
Training & Growth
We offer in-house training and continuing education opportunities, including the Certified Professional Biller (CPB) Course, taught by three AAPC Certified Instructors, a $7,200 value, provided free of charge to Gateway Medical Solutions employees.
Passing the national CPB exam (optional) results in exam reimbursement and a pay raise.
