What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Analyst position at Gateway Group Personnel?
This position is predominately responsible for collecting and analyzing relevant data that is used to assist our client with making better financial decisions surrounding their wealth enterprise. This
includes assembling client information into balance sheets, creating financial forecasts, and modeling out scenarios to create and present recommendations. The role will be heavy private wealth, but will also have some time allocated to private equity.
· Research and develop a strong understanding of the client’s needs and their businesses
· Compile and analyze the Client data into the company’s internal systems and begin
various types of evaluations and analysis to identify issues, problems, and opportunities.
· Architect the relevant information into standard reports (balance sheets, diagrams,
presentations, various schedules, etc.) to be used throughout the client engagement,
ensuring that standard templates are utilized when possible.
· Interface regularly with the Client Relationship Manager or Line of Business
Project/Deal Team Lead to develop and maintain a strong knowledge and
understanding of the PFE, moving pieces, recent history, and transactions.
· Research complex tax issues to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local
regulations
· Engage with outside resources as needed to develop potential solutions for Client
matters.
· Collaborate with the Client Relationship Manager or other Line of Business Project/Deal
Team Lead, prepare and present potential solutions to the partners and/or clients.
· Create various analyses and model scenarios for multiple possible decisions with the
intent of supporting the best path/decision for each scenario. This covers aspects
around income and estate tax planning, life insurance, corporate and asset structure,
debt portfolio, etc.
