Lead Procurement for One of the Southeast's Premier Beachfront Resorts
Our client, a highly respected luxury beachfront resort on Florida's Emerald Coast, is seeking an experienced Director of Purchasing to oversee all procurement, inventory management, vendor relationships, and purchasing operations supporting a large full-service resort.
This is far more than a traditional purchasing position. Reporting directly to executive leadership, you'll become a trusted business partner responsible for protecting profitability, negotiating strategic vendor partnerships, forecasting operational needs, and ensuring every department has the resources needed to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

What You'll Do
✔ Lead all purchasing and procurement activities supporting Food & Beverage, Rooms Division, Housekeeping, Engineering, and other operating departments.
✔ Develop purchasing strategies that balance quality, service, and cost.
✔ Build and maintain long-term relationships with preferred vendors while negotiating favorable pricing and contract terms.
✔ Forecast inventory requirements based on occupancy, banquet activity, seasonality, and operational trends.
✔ Monitor inventory levels and purchasing activity to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
✔ Manage purchasing budgets, supply expenditures, and departmental forecasts.
✔ Partner with culinary leadership on menu development, sourcing, and food cost initiatives.
✔ Oversee purchase orders, vendor compliance, receiving operations, and invoice processing.
✔ Lead, coach, and develop the Purchasing team while fostering a collaborative, service-oriented culture.

What We're Looking For
- Five or more years of purchasing, procurement, inventory management, food & beverage, hospitality, or culinary experience within a comparable full-service hotel or resort.
- Supervisory or management experience leading purchasing or procurement teams.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Experience managing purchasing budgets, forecasting, and inventory controls.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities.
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with department leaders across the hotel.
- Hospitality or resort experience strongly preferred.
